These cards are all in Commander pre-constructed decks and have a price of $1.00 or higher. Legacy decks may consist of cards from all Magic card sets, any edition of the core set, and all special sets, supplements, and promotional printings released by Wizards of the Coast. there are certainly other cards in the cube that can blow up lands, but i don't see that as a reason not to run the karoos. Cards like Farseek, Fertile Ground, and Cultivate are my favorite ways to ramp, as opposed to the traditional Llanowar Elves. Cards from expansions and special sets (like From the Vault, Commander, Duel Decks, etc) are legal in the Legacy format on the date of release of the expansion or special set. they're too good not to run, imo. They also do not take up a spell slot. or maybe Sakura-tribe elder 3 Harrow 4 Skyshroud Claim Those are what i fall back on generally. This is because it allows you to splash other colors more easily and play more controlling cards like Wrath of God without as much downside to yourself. While these are not going to be four-of inclusions due to the risk of drawing them too early, I could absolutely see many decks packing two to three copies of the correct land. All these lands have the correct basic land type, which means they can be retrieved by cards like Farseek and Twisted Abomination. The expected box value is the statistical expected value of the cards of a pre-con deck valued at $1 or more. i'd rather choose not to run an unfun theme like land destruction, than choose not to run the karoo lands.
