We ended up using of those hoods for the registers, that directs the warm air out from under a table or something ... we placed that on top to try to divert more of the cold air into the room instead of at the ceiling and it did seem to help some. My bedroom, about 12 feet by 10 feet, is where I kept this unit and in 3 months of using this air conditioner my room is often hotter than it is outside.
